HAWKINS, Texas (KETK) – An East Texas school administrator has been named the 2025 Region 7 Assistant Principal of the Year.

The honor was awarded to Lindsay Bell, the vice principal at Hawkins Elementary, by the Texas Elementary of Principals and Supervisors Association. (TEPSA) The award is peer-based and recognizes assistant principals from the 20 TEPSA regions across the state who demonstrate exceptional leadership ability.
Executive director of TEPSA Harley Eckhart spoke about Bell’s strong leadership abilities and why she was bestowed this honor.
“Lindsay has played a pivotal role in creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment in their school community. We are proud to recognize Lindsay’s leadership and dedication to ensuring students are engaged and achieve success throughout their education,” Eckhart said.
One TEPSA Region AP of the Year will be chosen as the 2025 NAESP National Assistant Principal of the Year for Texas. The national award is meant to recognize leaders who go above and beyond and meet both the social and academic needs of their students.
Honorees will be recognized at the TESPA Legacy Luncheon on Wednesday, June 11 at the Round Rock Kalahari.
