TRINITY COUNTY, Texas (KETK) — An East Texas man was arrested after reportedly dumping a cat in a box at a gas station in Trinity.
According to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Charles Wayne Jr. Nix on Tuesday around 2:27 p.m. for dumping a cat on 8273 FM 356 at Lawrence Market.
Officials said Wayne was caught on video dumping the cat taped up inside a box near the gas pump and driving away.
The cat has since been adopted and Wayne was arrested for a class A misdemeanor for cruelty to non-livestock animals.
