ARLINGTON, Texas (KETK) – With baseball season inching closer, the Texas Rangers have announced that they will be providing fans with a new TV network that will run all Rangers games for the 2025 season.
The team announced the channel will be called the “Rangers Sports Network” and will distribute games along with other baseball related content. The new channel comes in addition to the Victory + streaming deal which was announced by the organization a couple of weeks ago.
The Rangers are the second DFW team to opt in to having their own network, following the Dallas Mavericks, who decided to create their own in-house network this past fall.
Rangers owner Ray Davis spoke about the creation of the new network and how the network will make games more accessible for all of their fans, MLB.com reported.
“One of the main goals when seeking solutions for Rangers television broadcasts was to give fans more access to our games,” said Davis. “We determined that the best path toward providing our fans with more options is to handle many of the broadcast obligations in-house.
The Rangers also announced that the club’s president of business operations, Neil Liebman, will serve as chair of their new broadcast company, Rangers Sports Media & Entertainment.
As of now, the Rangers network will be available on Spectrum, DirectTV, AT&T and U-Verse. Additionally Victory + will be available on Roku, Apple TV, Google TV, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV.
