COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCBD) — South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster (R) will deliver his eighth State of the State address Wednesday night in Columbia.
McMaster is set to speak before a joint session of the General Assembly at 7 p.m. in the House chamber.
His address comes the same day he became the state’s longest-serving governor at eight years and one week.
During his remarks, McMaster will map out his vision for the Palmetto State in 2025, which is expected to include many of the themes laid out in his executive budget from lowering taxes to raising teachers’ salaries to disaster relief.
State Sen. Margie Bright Matthews, who represents District 45, will deliver the Democratic rebuttal immediately following McMaster’s address.
