CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — I-485 in Mint Hill is closed after a fatal crash, according to Medic.
Around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to I-485 near Fairview Road. Medic said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear what led to the crash.
Traffic officials say the I-485 outer before Exit 44 will be closed for several hours. Drivers should take the Lawyers Road Exit (Exit 47) and turn right. From there, turn left onto Allen Black Road for two miles to Fairview Road and then back onto I-485 outer.
