the tragic loss of Jersie Worley-Stewart, who passed away in a car accident on January 26, 2025. The tragic accident early Sunday morning in Dover-Foxcroft resulted in the death of a 22-year-old woman and left a 23-year-old man with serious injuries.
The Dover-Foxcroft Police Department confirmed that Jersie Worley-Stewart of St. Albans was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Isaac Weymouth, also from St. Albans, sustained critical injuries and was transported via LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for treatment.
The single-vehicle crash occurred around 1:20 a.m. near 1408 Dexter Road. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
Responding agencies included the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police, Dover-Foxcroft Fire Department, Sangerville Fire Department, Mayo Ambulance, and LifeFlight of Maine.
Jersie is survived by her cherished baby boy, Walker William, who was her greatest source of joy. She loved him deeply, and we are devoted to honoring her memory by ensuring he grows up surrounded by the love and care she would have wanted for him.
