TYLER, Texas (KETK) — TJC Baseball opened the 2025 season with two-straight wins over the Frank Phillips College Plainsmen.
The Apaches took game one of Saturday’s doubleheader 5-0 and won game two 7-3 over the Plainsmen to take this weekend’s season-opening series.
TJC jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first in game one and held on for the 5-0 shutout victory.
In game two, the Apaches were up 3-0 before the Plainsmen rallied to tie it at 3 in the top of the seventh, before TJC plated four runs in the bottom of the eighth to win it 7-3.
The Apaches (2-0) will go for the series sweep Sunday, January 26 at noon.
