“To be back in the school where I actually got started out with college dancing it’s just surreal,” Byrne said.
Byrne said she has never forgot her time as a Belle working alongside the drill team for the last 10 years. She had worked closely with former director Jasilyn Shaefer and hopes to draw inspiration from Shaefer as she paves her own path.
“Continuing on what she has started with getting the girls out there, giving them chances and opportunities that they may not have had if it were not for the TJC Apache Belle organization,” Byrne said.
Byrne said she has big shoes to fill, but it’s a honor to have the opportunity to lead this organization. She explains she wants to see the best out of her team and will give them her 100% best every single day.
Byrne cannot wait for East Texas to see what is next for the Apache Belles and that it is going to be an excited year.
