Remedee Jennings-Leaphart Obituary, Death; – On the evening of Thursday, January 23rd, at 9:08 p.m., the Aiken County Coroner’s Office was summoned to the Lexington Medical Center to examine the shooting death of a man from Batesburg-Leesville. The incident took place around 6:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Pine Circle in Monetta.
According to authorities, the victim, identified as 21-year-old Remedee Jennings-Leaphart, was first transported to his mother’s residence in Batesburg-Leesville. Subsequently, his family took him to a medical clinic in Batesburg-Leesville, where Lexington County EMS was called to facilitate his transfer to Lexington Medical Center.
The victim was declared dead shortly after his arrival at 8:35 p.m. due to a gunshot wound. An autopsy for Jennings-Leaphart is scheduled for today in Newberry. The investigation is ongoing, conducted by the Coroner’s Office in collaboration with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
