Boston police are actively searching for the driver responsible for a tragic hit-and-run that resulted in the death of 20-year-old Taylor Wilkinson in Roxbury on Saturday night.
The incident took place around 8:29 p.m. at 1829 Washington Street, where officers arrived to find two pedestrians who had been struck by a vehicle. Wilkinson, a Fisher College student, succumbed to her injuries shortly after being transported to a local hospital, while a second woman, aged 23, sustained only minor injuries.
The police investigation is being spearheaded by the Fatal Accident Reconstruction Team and the Homicide Unit, who are working to locate the driver involved in the incident.
According to the authorities, the suspect vehicle is described as a small, dark-colored Mercedes SUV, likely from 2021 to 2023, with visible damage to its front grille and front lights.
Additionally, the vehicle is missing its right-side mirror. Investigators are hoping that members of the public will come forward with any information that may help in identifying the driver and bring them to justice.
Her untimely death has left her family, friends, and the entire Fisher College community in mourning. College President Steve Rich expressed the institution’s deep sadness and offered heartfelt condolences to Wilkinson’s loved ones.
“This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts go out to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her,” he said in a statement released on the college’s website.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with the funeral expenses and to support efforts to locate the driver responsible for the hit-and-run. As of Monday evening, the campaign had already raised over $4,000.
