CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — An Interstate 85 off-ramp is closed after a cattle trailer overturned in the early hours on Tuesday, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Around 12:44 a.m. on Jan. 21, exit 38 off-ramp for Interstate 77 was shut down. The Mecklenburg EMS Agency (MEDIC) says an ambulance is on standby, but they haven’t had any human patients to care for. It is unclear if any cows were injured.
The off-ramp is expected to cause heavy delays during rush hour. NCDOT says the road should reopen around 10:44 a.m.
