WAXHAW, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A woman has been charged after stealing packages from homes in Union County during the holidays, according to the Waxhaw Police Department.
38-year-old Cassie Leigh Watson from Indian Land, South Carolina, allegedly stole packages from porches in the Millbridge neighborhood in December, specifically targeting cards with checks or gift cards.

Warrants were issued for Watson’s arrest and she was charged accordingly, officials said.
“Please be mindful when having packages delivered to your doorstep, especially around the holidays,” Waxhaw PD said. “Kudos to the sharp homeowners, doorbell cameras and a big shoutout to the Flock Safety Camera System. They all played an intricate part in identifying this Defendant and her vehicle. As always, Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
