TYLER, Texas (KETK) – With softball season quickly approaching, Kilgore College has announced 11 high school softball players who will be joining the Kilgore Rangers softball program for the 2025-2026 season.
A notable student-athlete who will be joining the Kilgore team is Edelin “Vicky” Barrios. Barrios is currently a senior at Cypress Ridge High School in Houston and is an accomplished high school player in the state of Texas.
She is a pitcher and an outfielder and was recognized for her remarkable play at both positions. She was awarded as a 17-6A 1st Team All-District pitcher due to her performance as a pitcher. Barrios’ exceptional play in the outfield was also recognized when she was selected to be a member of the 2nd team All-District outfielder at the end of last season.
Sarah Bradley is another notable talent who will join the Kilgore softball program this fall. Bradley is currently a senior at La Vernia High School in San Antonio. She plays for her high school and her club team, called the STX Bombers National 18U, based out of San Antonio.
Bradley plays primary catcher as well as both corner positions in the infield. She has been recognized several times throughout her high school career, including Bi-District champions, two-time 4A Second Team All-District catcher and First-Team All-District third base.

Kilgore will open up their 2025 season in just a little over a week on Jan. 25 where they will be hosting Mississippi Delta Community College in a two-game series.
The Kilgore softball program is currently led by Amber Williams, who is currently in her second year running the program. Since taking over the program Williams has worked to revamp a program that has had little success over the past decade.
The team continued to struggle last year with Williams at the helm, finishing with a 2-44 record. However, the program does seem to be moving in the right direction due to the impressive amount of high school talent they have been able to sign this off-season.
