The long-forgotten mystery of the Lisa Stone missing case is suddenly back in the forefront, thanks to ‘The Facebook Detectives,’ whose relentless efforts have stirred the pot and reignited public interest, with fingers pointing squarely at the person of interest.
What began as a routine missing person investigation has turned into one of the most perplexing unsolved mysteries. Nearly 15 years have passed, but the loved ones of Lisa Stone still long for the answers that linger in the shadows.
And in 2025, this chilling mystery has opened a vortex of possibilities and theories related to the frozen tragedy.
Lisa’s case has been a haunting mystery to come out of Dallas, Texas, that had gripped the nation for years. Lisa Stone was 51 years old when she went missing on June 5, 2010.
Prior to her disappearance, Lisa had reconnected with her old high school friends on Facebook.
Apparently, Lisa was supposed to receive one of her friends from the airport that day, however she never showed up. When Lisa didn’t return, her neighbor, Ms. Burris, decided to contact the police and file a missing person’s report.
Initially, the Dallas police didn’t take her concern seriously and believed Lisa might have left on her own. However, on June 21st, a detective visited Lisa’s house, but her partner assured the officer that Lisa was simply away.
The police didn’t suspect any foul play at the moment; however, the case took a dramatic turn.
Years later, Lisa Stone’s birth certificate and other personal belongings were discovered in a dumpster near her house. Subsequent to finding her possessions, the authorities intensified their inspection and focused on Lisa’s partner, Sherry Henry.
Furthermore, they conducted thorough interviews with Sherry and even searched her house for additional clues. Despite the uncovering, the police had no other leads, and the Lisa Stone missing case remains unsolved to this day.
Is Sherry hiding the truth about Lisa Stone? The Facebook Detectives think so!
The cops weren’t the only ones on the hunt for Lisa Stone; her old high school friends took the charge, too. Tina Wiley, Tammye Markle, and Joni shannon, famous as ‘The Facebook Detectives,‘ first grew suspicious when Lisa ghosted everyone.
Three days after Lisa had abruptly ceased all communication, Joni received a message from her Facebook account.
Following the interaction, Joni was convinced that the person texting her was not Lisa but Sherry. When Joni and Tina reached out to Sherry, she brushed them off with flimsy excuses and was of no help to them.
However, Sherry has gone on record and denied the fact that they were at her house to discuss the case. The Facebook Detectives were still adamant and used social media to chase down leads on Lisa.
Then, a month later, they found Sherry dumping all of Lisa’s belongings in a 7/11 parking lot dumpster.
This led the ladies to believe that Sherry was involved in Lisa’s disappearance, but they didn’t have any solid proof. Furthermore, the neighbors piled on the suspicion, saying they’d seen Sherry scrubbing out the garage like her life depended on it.
Sherry Henry became a person of interest due to her suspicious behavior and inconsistent statements. Lisa and Sherry had been together for over 15 years; however, when the former went missing, Sherry didn’t file a missing person’s report.
During an interview with 48 Hours, Sherry kept denying any allegations and declared she was not guilty of anything. At one point, she snapped back, saying,
Furthermore, Sherry claimed The Facebook Detectives were harassing her and spreading bogus information about the case. She further admitted that she was seeing another woman when Lisa Stone went missing.
