Actor Mark Michael Hutchinson, Slattery’s lover, confirmed his death on January 14. “We regret to inform you that actor and comedian Tony Slattery, 65, passed away today, Tuesday morning, after suffering a heart attack on Sunday night,” Hutchinson said in a statement.
Slattery was best known for his appearances on the Channel 4 comedy show Who’s Line Is It Anyway? and was also frequently seen on the BBC One programme Have I Got News For You. Outside of comedy, Slattery appeared as a dramatic actor in films such as Peter’s Friends, The Crying Game and To Die For.
