The victim of Monday afternoon’s deadly crash in Schuylkill County has been identified as a guy from Northumberland County.
The collision happened on Sunbury Road/Route 901 in Cass Township at approximately 3:10 p.m., according to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville.
Trooper say the two-vehicle incident occurred as Keith Feese, 52, of Shamokin was heading northbound on Route 901 in a Ford Ranger and negotiating a right curve in the roadway, when he stepped over into the opposite lane and into the path of Kevin Kistler, 22, of New Ringgold of a Ford F550.
Feese’s pickup truck struck the driver’s side front end and the utility box. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage but Kistler was able to pull his vehicle to the side of the road after the crash.
Feese was reported to have been heavily entrapped in his vehicle and suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced at the scene by the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office. Police reported he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Kistler was not injured and was reported to be wearing a seatbelt. Route 901 was closed for several hours while the scene was cleared and investigated by State Police.
