Louisiana State Police Detain a Mississippi Person Associated with the Madison Parish Murder
The homicide of Brittany Mays, 35, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, in the 500 block of Byson Road on January 9, 2025, is still being investigated by detectives from the Louisiana State Police Monroe Field Office (LSP MFO).

As the inquiry advanced and further information was gathered, LSP MFO obtained an arrest warrant from the 6th Judicial District Court. Subsequently, 36-year-old Nathan Kirkley, also from Vicksburg, MS, was taken into custody on charges of second-degree murder.
