UNION COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Union County Sheriff’s deputy is in stable condition following a crash Tuesday evening, the Sheriff’s Office confirmed to QCN.
The crash happened at the intersection of Weddington Road and Wesley Chapel Road, where it turns into Potter Road. This is near Wesley Chapel Elementary School and about 3.5 miles west of the Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airport.
The deputy was taken to a local hospital where their injuries are being assessed. The deputy is in stable condition.
Authorities did not say what led up to the crash. The State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
