Wrestling champion Anthony Robles shares a deep connection with his wife, Laura Robles, who has become one of his greatest cheerleaders despite the differences in their careers.
Anthony Robles has inspired a new generation of sportspersons. However, such heights wouldn’t have been possible without the backing of his family. Anthony considers his partner and his mother as his greatest inspiration.
Despite being born prematurely with one leg, Anthony didn’t let such attributes push him back. Instead, he trained daily to become one of the wrestling national champions in the 125-pound weight class.
Moreover, in 2022, the wrestler took up a new challenge with the help of his wife. Laura, a realtor with experience in eXp Realty, helped Anthony break the Guinness World Record for pullups in 24 hours.
The wrestler and his wife paused for a moment before the Desert Financial Credit Union in Phoenix for the record. Additionally, Anthony marked the most pullups in one minute with an 80-pound weight on his back.
After completing the task, Anthony hugged his mother and wife, adding that he took it up as a last record before taking over as a head wrestling coach. Before the record, his wife had announced that she was pregnant.

In his autobiography, Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated, the wrestler said he trained for almost two years for the final hurrah. The task meant the world to him as he wanted to settle with his wife afterward.
During a post-event interview, Anthony nodded towards his wife and said, “I’m excited about this next chapter of my life- I promised Laura that this would be it. And then I can walk away.“
Anthony Robles and his wife were grateful to become parents to a healthy baby boy!
After the pregnancy announcement, followers advise Laura to take a break from her career. Many encouraged her to spend quality time with the wrestler for the baby’s health.
Since Anthony had a physical deformity, many people expressed concern that it might be repeated in his offspring. The wrestler’s mother, Jude, had him when she was 16, which led to several health complications.
Despite coming from a Catholic background, Jude never considered adoption and raised Anthony as a single mother. His mother added that she often worried about their wrestler’s future.
Surprisingly, by 24, Anthony was known to the world as a three-time All-American wrestler, in the 2011 Division I NCAA national champion. His name had been inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Moreover, Jude moved in with Anthony’s stepfather when he was 2. She explained that their troubled relationship from the start caused more drift in the family.
Additionally, Anthony credited his mother, not his wrestling, for building his and his siblings’ strength of character. The wrestler praised her, claiming, “She always taught us to strive for excellence. You never quit what you start.“
Following his marriage with Laura, the wrestler expressed wanting her to be the same kind of mother to their son. Laura has embraced the role, balancing her professional and personal life perfectly.
The couple has managed to earn a lavish life with a collective net worth of over $1 million. Moreover, Anthony has diverted his path to motivational speaking, charging between $10k to $20k per show.
