Josh Claxton, a dedicated student manager for the Little Rock Trojans, lost his life in a crash on Saturday, leaving his family and friends behind. Many people have flooded the social media to express their grief.
According to the Little Rock Trojans, Josh Claxton passed away in a car accident on the morning of December 21.
The Little Rock Department of Athletics, the Eastern Illinois Department of Athletics, and the Ohio Valley Conference were supposed to have a game on Saturday at 3 pm. However, because of his demise, the departments have decided to postpone the match.

Frank Cuervo, the Director of Sports at the University of Arkansas, made a post to honor Josh Claxton, expressing how valuable he was to the team.
Furthermore, the student basketball manager’s family has yet to come forward to speak on the matter. Nevertheless, the communities share their condolences with the family.
Additionally, Frank Cuervo left a message for his family, “On behalf of the entire Little Rock Department of Athletics, I extend our heartfelt condolences to Josh’s parents, family, and friends. He embodied the values of what it means to be a Trojan.”
Josh Claxton lost his life before he completed his master’s degree at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock!
Josh Claxton pursued a Master of Science degree in Sports Management at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Moreover, he attended the institution in January 2024 and was supposed to graduate in December 2025.
Before that, he attended the same university and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Sports Management. Furthermore, he was a member of the Disc Golf Club Team.

During his time at the university, he focused on developing his skills in communication, leadership, team building, and management.
While pursuing his bachelor’s degree, he started working as a Classroom Assistant at Pediatrics Plus. There, he was responsible for helping students with homework and teaching in the classroom.
However, after working there for over a year, he decided to quit his job and focus fully on his studies. Additionally, he graduated from the college in 2021 and afterward joined the same company he had worked for previously.
Furthermore, he worked there for over two years before finally getting an internship as a Basketball Team Manager at the University of Arkansas. He joined the institution in June 2024 and had been working there for only seven months before his untimely passing.
