Darrell Hambrick Obituary, Death; – Three women were discovered deceased from gunshot wounds on Saturday afternoon within a residence located on the South Side.
Columbus police received a call at approximately 3:50 p.m. from an individual who had visited a home on the 1300 block of South Ohio Avenue to check on a friend. Police communications indicated that the caller had encountered at least one individual who had sustained gunshot injuries. As more officers arrived at the location, two additional deceased individuals were located within the residence.
Sgt. James Fuqua confirmed that all three adult women were pronounced dead at the scene. The details surrounding the shooting remain unclear at this time, and homicide detectives are currently conducting an investigation.
As of Saturday evening, law enforcement had not established a connection between this incident and another fatal shooting that took place four days prior, less than half a mile away, involving a victim associated with the same address.
On Tuesday, 45-year-old Darrell Hambrick was shot on the 700 block of East Moler Street and succumbed to his injuries the following day. The location of Hambrick’s shooting is approximately half a mile from the South Ohio Avenue residence where the three women were found deceased on Saturday afternoon. Records indicate that Hambrick had previously resided at the South Ohio Avenue address.
