Brent Allen Evans Obituary, Death; – The individual who was struck by a vehicle after falling from his bicycle on Airport Drive has been identified as 38-year-old Brent Allen Evans from Bakersfield, as reported by the Kern County coroner.
On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a driver operating a 2009 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Airport Drive, just south of Washington Drive, when they collided with Evans, who had fallen from his bike. The California Highway Patrol indicated that the vehicle was traveling at a speed of around 40 miles per hour at the time of the incident. Tragically, Evans was pronounced dead at the scene by personnel from the Kern County Fire Department.
The driver of the Honda stopped at the scene and has been fully cooperative with law enforcement officials. An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway, and it remains unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
