Brandon R Evans Obituary, Death; – A 42-year-old man lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Friday night, which authorities believe may be linked to alcohol consumption, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Brandon R. Evans, a resident of Malvern, was driving eastbound on state Route 172 in a 2016 Chevy Silverado at approximately 6:37 p.m. near milepost 30 when he veered off the right side of the roadway. His vehicle collided with a traffic sign and a culvert, subsequently overturning multiple times and striking several trees. Evans, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident, was pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by the patrol.
The patrol received assistance at the scene from Minerva Fire & EMS, Sandy Creek Joint Fire District, Stark County Coroner’s Office, and Keith’s Towing. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with alcohol being considered a potential contributing factor.
