Venessa Stewart-Ferguson Obituary, Death; – Police in Prince George’s County have confirmed the identity of the woman who tragically lost her life after being struck by a vehicle while walking in Oxon Hill on Wednesday. The woman has been identified as 27-year-old Venessa Stewart-Ferguson, who was reportedly without a permanent residence.
The incident occurred on December 11, shortly after 6 a.m., in the vicinity of Saint Barnabas Road and the Capital Beltway, as reported by law enforcement officials. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers discovered Stewart-Ferguson lying in the roadway, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Initial investigations indicated that the driver collided with Stewart-Ferguson while she was traversing the westbound lanes of Saint Barnabas Road. Following the incident, the driver fled the scene; however, detectives were subsequently able to track down both the driver and the vehicle involved. As of Friday morning, it remains unclear whether any charges have been brought against the driver.
