Quadir Blackwell Obituary, Death; – A 13-year-old boy, identified as Quadir Blackwell from Minneapolis, tragically lost his life following what authorities have characterized as an accidental shooting last month.
The Minneapolis Police Department reported that Blackwell was discovered with a gunshot wound inside a residence located on the 2400 block of Ferrant Place on the morning of November 5. He was declared dead at the scene.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Blackwell sustained a gunshot wound to the head, classifying the manner of his death as a homicide.
According to police, a 14-year-old boy was handling the firearm when it discharged. At the time of the incident, two women and several other children were present in the home. Law enforcement officials subsequently took the 14-year-old into custody.
