Michael Yanez from Chino Obituary, Death; – Authorities appealed to the public on Friday for assistance in identifying two vehicles linked to a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred in Upland last month.
The collision took place on West 8th Street, just east of San Antonio Avenue, at approximately 5:30 p.m. on November 30. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a pedestrian, later identified as 21-year-old Michael Yanez from Chino, had been struck by two vehicles, both of which left the scene.
The Upland Police Department has released images of a white or silver Jeep Wrangler and a light blue minivan, both of which are believed to have been involved in the incident. Yanez succumbed to his injuries, and investigators continue to seek the vehicles and their drivers.
The Jeep Wrangler is described as having a lifted suspension, an aftermarket front bumper, a driver’s side hi-lift jack located near the fender, a black hardtop, and black rocker guards along the sides.
