Bridget Mobley Obituary, Death; – The individual who was fatally struck on Tuesday night while walking along Highway 66 in Neptune Township has been identified as 70-year-old Bridget Mobley from Asbury Park.
At approximately 7:36 p.m. on Tuesday, both she and a male companion were walking along Route 66 when they were hit by a 2021 Ford Transit van traveling westbound. The vehicle remained at the scene following the incident.
Bridget Mobley was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital at 8:15 p.m. The male pedestrian was transported to the same hospital, where he received treatment for minor injuries and was subsequently released.

In a separate incident earlier this week, a woman was struck by a vehicle on Wednesday morning in Asbury Park but survived with leg injuries.
