Keith Cousin Obituary, Death; – Boston Police have identified a man who was shot and killed in Dorchester late Monday night as 37-year-old Keith Cousin, a resident of Bayonne, New Jersey.
Cousin was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds at approximately 10:24 p.m. on Monday at 114 Devon Street in Dorchester. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a statement from the Boston Police Department.
Following the incident, two individuals were arrested; however, neither has been charged with Cousin’s murder at this time.
The arrested individuals are Darius Powell, 25, from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and Daiquan Miller, 25, from Dorchester. They face charges related to unlawful firearm possession and unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, as reported by the police.
Powell and Miller were observed exiting an alley behind the Lila Frederick School, which is in proximity to the shooting location. A foot pursuit commenced when officers approached the men, prompting them to flee. They were ultimately apprehended.
During a search of the area where Powell and Miller had been seen and where they fled, officers recovered two firearms. The police have not clarified whether the charges against Powell and Miller are connected to the fatal shooting.
