Paula Cope Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life in a single-vehicle accident that took place on Friday morning on Highway 17, close to Sunset Road in the Town of Sugar Camp.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, 70-year-old Paula Cope from Eagle River was declared deceased shortly after her transport to Aspirus Hospital in Rhinelander. The incident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. on December 6, when a vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree. Investigators noted that icy road conditions played a role in the crash. The driver of the vehicle sustained only minor injuries.
Emergency personnel successfully extricated Cope from the vehicle prior to her being transported to the hospital by ambulance. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is actively continuing its investigation, with assistance from the Sugar Camp Fire Department at the scene.
