Keion LaShawn DeGrate Obituary, Death; – A deceased male was discovered in the Patterson Park vicinity of Akron, suffering from gunshot wounds on Sunday afternoon.
The Akron Police Department reported that they received several calls regarding gunfire around 3 p.m. Officers arrived at the 600 block of Lucille Avenue, where they found a 21-year-old man who had been shot multiple times, lying in a grassy area adjacent to basketball courts. He was declared dead at the scene.
The police indicated that a vehicle, possibly an SUV, was seen fleeing the area following the discharge of multiple shots by an unidentified assailant. More than a dozen rifle casings were recovered from the location, according to the press release. The victim has been identified as Keion LaShawn DeGrate, a resident of Akron.
