Barbara Hageman Obituary, Death; – Delaware State Police are conducting an investigation into a fatal three-vehicle collision near Millsboro that resulted in the death of 79-year-old Barbara Hageman and left one individual in critical condition.
The incident took place on December 6 at approximately 5:56 p.m. A Ram Promaster traveling westbound on Coolspring Road failed to yield at the intersection with Harbeson Road, as reported by authorities. The Promaster collided with the driver’s side of a southbound Nissan Sentra on Harbeson Road. Debris from the impact subsequently struck a northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee, causing minor damage.
The driver of the Nissan, an 86-year-old man from Millsboro, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Hageman, who was a passenger in the Nissan, was also taken to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The Promaster’s driver, a 29-year-old man from Salisbury, Maryland, sustained minor injuries but opted not to seek medical treatment. The driver of the Jeep, a 32-year-old man from Lincoln, Delaware, was unharmed.
