Gerone L Evans Obituary, Death; – A man has lost his life following a collision involving two vehicles that took place on Wednesday, as reported by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Gerone L. Evans, aged 58, from Summerville, Georgia, sustained injuries when the 1994 Nissan pickup he was operating was struck by a 2023 Nissan Altima. Following the collision, Evans’ vehicle veered off the road and overturned. At the time of the incident, Evans was not wearing a seatbelt and was subsequently ejected from the vehicle.
He was taken to Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Nissan Altima, along with two passengers, also suffered injuries and were transported to Floyd Medical Center for medical attention. Additionally, a one-year-old and a three-month-old, who were passengers in the Altima, were injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred on Alabama 35 near the seven-mile marker, approximately three miles north of Gaylesville. Troopers from ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are currently investigating the incident.
