A 54-year-old man was arrested for attempted murder after a stabbing at EZ Pickens Bar in Hesperia.
It happened on November 17, 2024, at about 11:32 pm, in the 9200 block of G Avenue, when the suspect identified as Guadalupe Minjarez, stabbed the victim in the chest area.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Amanda Paslak at the Hesperia Station told VVNG that as witnesses attempted to stop the suspect, the suspect attempted to stab the witnesses.
Minjarez fled the location before deputies’ arrival but was later located by deputies at his residence in the 14300 block of Sycamore Street in Hesperia.
Minjarez is a previously convicted felon and was found to have a firearm at his residence.
Minjarez was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for PC23900-Altering a Firearm, PC245(a)(2)- Assault with a Deadly Weapon not a Firearm, PC29800(a)(1)-Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC664-187(a) Attempted Murder.
