Bronx, NY — Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in a shooting inside a Bronx apartment early Monday morning, September 23, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m. near Andrews Avenue and West 179 Street.
According to police, a 28-year-old woman had invited a man she met earlier that night into her apartment. When the man made unwanted sexual advances, the woman rejected him and began escorting him out. As he was leaving, the suspect allegedly brandished a firearm and fired a shot towards the apartment door, causing damage to a wall. He then fled the scene on foot.
No injuries were reported in the incident. The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, aged between 25 and 40 years, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a black t-shirt featuring a multi-color drawing on the front, and black sneakers.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
