BALTIMORE — A 15-year-old suspect was arrested late Saturday night following an armed carjacking in northeast Baltimore, according to police.
The Baltimore Police Department reported that officers responded to a call at around 9:43 p.m. on October 5, to the 1800 block of East Belvedere Avenue, where a woman said two males had carjacked her at gunpoint.
Authorities used the victim’s vehicle tracking system, OnStar, to locate the car. The department’s aviation unit, Foxtrot, found the vehicle near the intersection of Barclay and East 29th Street, where one of the suspects attempted to flee.
Northeast District detectives apprehended the 15-year-old driver after a brief foot chase. The second suspect remains at large.
The arrested juvenile was taken to a juvenile booking facility for processing. Police have not released further details on the ongoing investigation.
