Wilkes-Barre, PA – Wilkes-Barre police are investigating a robbery that occurred at 11:39 PM on October 3rd at 300 Parkview Circle. A 22-year-old woman from Scranton was the victim of the incident.
Officers were dispatched to the location after receiving a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, the victim informed the officers that the robbery took place as she was visiting a friend at the Sherman Hills Apartment Complex.
The victim explained she was walking near Building 328 when she was confronted by an unknown black male suspect. The suspect allegedly brandished a firearm and demanded her purse.
The victim described a brief struggle before the suspect seized her purse and escaped on foot. She reported her purse contained $5,000 in cash, medications, and various credit cards.
The investigation into the robbery is ongoing, with officers working to gather more information about the suspect and the circumstances of the incident.
