Quincy, MA – On Tuesday at approximately 3:00 PM, officers from the Fugitive Unit apprehended Jason Douglas, an 18-year-old resident of Quincy. The arrest took place in the area of Tyler Street in Quincy. Douglas was apprehended on an existing warrant from Roxbury District Court.
The arrest warrant entailed charges of carjacking, two counts of attempting to commit a crime, and three counts of threats to commit a crime. Douglas is scheduled to face his arraignment in Roxbury District Court as part of the legal proceedings.
On Wednesday, September 18, at around 7:30 PM, officers from District B-2 responded to a reported carjacking at 58 Annunciation Road. Upon their arrival, the officers were informed that two men had threatened a victim with a firearm and had taken their vehicle. The stolen vehicle crashed shortly afterward, leading to the suspects fleeing the site.
Approximately fifteen minutes later, a second attempted carjacking was reported at 41 McGreevy Way. In this incident, a suspect tried to enter a woman’s vehicle but was unsuccessful.
