BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run collision that left a 25-year-old woman seriously injured in the Flatlands neighborhood of Brooklyn. The incident occurred on Thursday, August 29, at around 6:53 p.m., according to the New York City Police Department.
Authorities reported that the victim was crossing the intersection of Flatlands Avenue and East 82nd Street when she was struck by a white 4-door Audi SUV traveling northbound on East 82nd Street. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
The victim was knocked unconscious by the impact and sustained serious injuries. Emergency medical services transported her to Brookdale Medical Center, where she was treated and later listed in stable condition, police said.
The NYPD has not yet identified the driver involved in the collision. Investigators are continuing to search for the individual, and the vehicle has not been located as of Sunday.
