NEW YORK — A 29-year-old woman was raped in her Upper East Side residence early Saturday morning, according to police reports.
The incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. in the vicinity of East 92nd Street and 1st Avenue. Authorities say the woman was in her home when an unidentified individual forcibly entered her residence and assaulted her.
The suspect fled on foot after the attack. Police have not yet identified the individual or determined their whereabouts.
The woman was transported to Lenox Hill Hospital in stable condition. The NYPD’s Manhattan Special Victims Squad is leading the investigation into the incident.
