ROCKVILLE, MD – Maryland State Police are requesting public assistance in obtaining dashcam footage following a road rage shooting incident that occurred on Friday evening in Montgomery County.
Investigators are seeking footage from 7:20 p.m. to 7:40 p.m. on northbound Interstate 270 near Shady Grove Road. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored sedan with Maryland license plates, occupied by two Hispanic males aged between 20 and 25.
The alert to Rockville Barrack troopers was issued shortly before 8 p.m. on Friday. The incident involved a white Dodge Durango, which was struck multiple times by gunfire. The driver of the Dodge Durango was unharmed. The incident is believed to have stemmed from a road rage altercation.
Anyone with dashcam footage from the specified time and location is urged to contact the police at 410-538-1887. Callers may choose to remain anonymous. Even footage that appears unremarkable could aid investigators in resolving the case.
