BROOKLYN, M.D. — Four juveniles have been charged following a stolen vehicle crash that damaged a home early Friday morning in Brooklyn. Police responded to a report of tampering with a vehicle on Kramme Avenue around 2:50 a.m. and arrived to see a 2020 black Hyundai sedan fleeing the scene.
The vehicle, which had black tinted windows, struck a truck, causing the truck to crash into a residence on Church Street. The occupants of the residence sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Emergency personnel, including the fire department and a building inspector, responded to the scene. Due to significant damage, the impacted residence was condemned. Authorities believe the Hyundai involved in the crash was stolen prior to the incident.
All four individuals inside the stolen vehicle were juveniles and were cited before being released into the custody of their guardians. The driver, a 14-year-old male, was one of those charged, along with two other male juveniles, aged 14 and 13, and a 16-year-old female.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details were available at this time.
