Frederick, MD – The Frederick Police Department has announced the passing of K9 Gino, a dedicated service dog who had been with the department since 2016. Gino started working with his handler, MPO Wade Milyard, in March 2019.
During his tenure, Gino was integral to numerous operations, playing a significant role in saving lives, apprehending dangerous suspects, and maintaining safety in the community. The department emphasized his selfless commitment to public safety and noted that his presence will be greatly missed by his colleagues.
The department expressed their condolences to MPO Milyard and his family during this difficult time. They underscored that while Gino is no longer with them, his impact on the department and the community will not be forgotten.
