Cumberland, MD – On Tuesday, September 24, the Cumberland Police Department served multiple arrest warrants in connection with various incidents, ranging from stabbing to burglary.
First, an arrest warrant was served to Corbit Arrowood Jr. in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred on September 18 in the first block of Greene Street. Officers discovered that a physical altercation had taken place, resulting in both parties sustaining injuries. Arrowood was treated at a hospital, and further investigation led to charges being filed against him, including first-degree assault and disorderly conduct. He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
David Sheppard was also arrested after an officer observed him walking on Maryland Avenue at approximately 12:00 PM. Sheppard fled on foot when informed of two active bench warrants, initiating a foot chase during which he discarded suspected controlled dangerous substances. He was apprehended on Gay Street, and officers recovered the substances. Sheppard, who faced previous charges of theft and trespassing, was remanded on a $1,500 bond.
