UTICA, NY – Utica Police officers responded to a dispute involving weapons on Brinckerhoff Avenue on Sunday.
Police reported the arrest of Ar Min, 38, of Utica, following the incident.
Min has been charged with assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
Authorities allege that Min struck another Asian male with a long rifle during a physical altercation.
The victim sustained a head laceration from the incident. The police have not disclosed further details about the circumstances leading up to the dispute. Min’s charges include a felony count for the assault and a misdemeanor for weapon possession.
The events reportedly took place in the 1300 block of Brinckerhoff Avenue, an area regularly patrolled by Utica Police. The arrest adds to the ongoing efforts of the Utica Police Department to address safety concerns within the community.
