WASHINGTON, D.C. — Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in a destruction of property incident in Northwest D.C. that occurred Saturday morning.
At approximately 8:23 a.m. on September 21, the suspect defaced and damaged property in the 1100 block of P Street, Northwest. The individual intentionally destroyed items and spray-painted offensive language on the property.
The suspect was captured on surveillance footage, and authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or anonymously via text at 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment. The incident is being investigated as potentially motivated by hate or bias, though that designation may change as the investigation progresses.
