RALEIGH, NC – Several members from the New York State Police took part in the annual East Coast State Police Women’s Charity Softball tournament over the weekend in North Carolina.
The New York State Police team won games against teams from Massachusetts, Virginia, and Connecticut. They ultimately did not prevail in a rematch against Massachusetts.
Funds raised during the tournament will benefit Warriors for Jace—a charity focused on finding a cure for DIPG, a pediatric brain cancer—and WNC Special Needs Sports, which provides sports opportunities for special needs individuals in Western North Carolina.
The Delaware State Police team emerged victorious in the tournament.
The tournament brought together various state police teams and fostered a sense of camaraderie and competition. Each match was keenly contested, highlighting the athletic prowess of the participants.
