MONTVALE, N.J. — New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS) will open a new donor center in Montvale with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday. The event, scheduled for 11 a.m. at 36 Philips Parkway, will feature local officials and community members.
Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali and Dr. Matthew Letizia, the son of blood recipient Gary Letizia, are among the speakers. The ceremony will highlight the importance of blood donations in supporting public health across the region.
Guests will be invited to tour the new facility, which NJBS has described as state-of-the-art. Attendees will also have opportunities to capture footage and speak with donors about the center’s impact.
“We are so grateful to have such an important organization choose to establish a presence in Montvale,” Mayor Ghassali said. “We are happy to welcome NJ Blood Services to the Montvale community.”
The center aims to increase access to blood donations in northern New Jersey, where demand has consistently remained high.
