GAITHERSBURG, MD — A Gaithersburg resident, who recently shifted his focus from casino games to lottery play, won $50,000 in the September 9 Powerball Double Play drawing.
The Montgomery County man, an occasional lottery player, held one of two winning Maryland Double Play tickets from that night. “There’s no use in stopping playing now,” he said, adding that the win has renewed his interest in the Lottery.
A fisherman, the winner plans to use part of his prize to buy a boat, complete some home improvement projects, and save the rest. The lucky ticket was purchased at Cedar Grove Store on Ridge Road in Germantown.
