Wilmington, DE- Delaware State Police have apprehended Purcell Hocker-Osborne, 25, of Wilmington, Delaware, for numerous shoplifting offenses, primarily targeting Home Depot locations throughout New Castle County.
From August 11 to Saturday, authorities investigated a series of thefts from Home Depot stores in the area. The suspect, identified as a black male, repeatedly stole various power tools without payment. Investigative efforts led to the identification of Purcell Hocker-Osborne as the individual behind nine thefts, amassing stolen goods worth over $16,900. In some cases, Hocker-Osborne acted in concert with unidentified accomplices. Upon each theft, warrants were issued for his arrest, and efforts were made to apprehend him.
On Saturday, at approximately 8:15 p.m., troopers responded to a shoplifting report at Best Buy located at 4807 Concord Pike, Wilmington. The suspect, a black male with shoulder-length dreadlocks, was seen fleeing with merchandise towards the Days Inn. A trooper arriving at the scene identified a man matching the description in the hotel’s rear parking lot, transferring goods from a
