Stafford Township, NJ- The Stafford Township Police Department and Southern Regional School District have addressed concerns regarding a juvenile student and potential safety issues at the school.
On September 16, the Southern Regional School District received a report expressing concern about a student’s behavior and potential risks. The Southern Regional High School administration promptly investigated and found concerns that warranted further evaluation. As a result, the Stafford Township Police Department transported the student to a local facility for additional screening.
A Temporary Extreme Risk Protective Order was granted by Judge Mark Schneider, and a search of the student’s residence revealed no firearms or weapons. The student has been removed from the school district and measures are being taken to ensure safety.
The Stafford Township Police Department reports no immediate threat to the community. Enhanced security measures will be implemented around the schools in the upcoming days. The department will keep the public informed through official social media updates.
